Track Radius Calculations
Rail Bending
In laying curved track, it is important to get a good arc for a continuous curve. A curve made by bending rail at the two ends results in a parabolic shape. Therefor, a rail bender is preferred. Details on how to properly bend rail and determine radius is listed in the this document.

Duluth Community Appreciation Day - March 15, 2008
The North Georgia Live Steamers participated in Duluth's Community Appreciation Day celebration by running engines on our portable track and giving rides to the public. Duluth Christmas Public Run- December 16, 2006
The North Georgia Live Steamers participated in Duluth, Georgia's winter festival activities again this year. We operated the portable track on Main Street next to Taylor Park and gave rides to the public (admission was free!). Here are some pictures of the event.
