Steam Engine Inspection Day for Saturday, September 13, 2025
On Saturday, September 13, 2025, our steam engines underwent their annual inspection. Each year, these locomotives are carefully checked with a hydro test and a detailed boiler inspection. The process involves filling the boilers with water and applying pressure to confirm that the tubes are tight and leak-free. While straightforward, this test is essential to ensuring that our engines remain safe, reliable, and ready for operation.
We’re happy to share that our steam engines passed inspection and are officially cleared to haul passengers and freight around the railroad for another exciting year!
