Track
Officially named the Conyers & Hightower Trail railroad, NGLS is starting construction of our club track at the Georgia International Horse Park (GIHP). Track layout designs have been evaluated, committees have been formed, and inventories of existing supplies and material have been taken.
Surveying of the site has been completed and grading and clearing of areas has started. Discussions on track design have been completed and a starting layout approved by the club members.
On July 24,2010, a work party of 22 assembled in the 90+ heat and track laying was started. About 150' of track was layed during the day along with 3 switches!! Use the links on the right of this page to see photos of the construction progress.
